Wifi is not that easy to find!, and the data charges on the iphone may be a bit frightening when we return, but I’m hanging half outside of a window to steal some internet and wanted to let all of you know how everything has been going!
After the Orlean show, we flew to the UK to shoot our video for Snap. Besically, it’s ameeezing. Jon Drever, Matt Fox, and the rest of the team really blew us away with everything from the concepts to the vibe to the hospitality. Here are a few pics of me and Oak feeling at home as Victorian Villians. The shoot was done digitally, and on 16mm wind up Bolex… the quality and artistry is going to be unreal. We can’t wait to see the final product! Thanks again to everyone at Grain for everything, and to Ella, our beautiful star of the video, for being awesome as well.
A half a day wandering London and trying not to spend money in Soho, we flew back to Paris, met back up with DJ Flip (aka Mr. Gee), slept, and woke up 3 hours later and fly to Thessaloniki, Greece! (btw, if you ever have a chance to fly Agean Air, do it. Ooooh the stewardesses. ooooh horse mouth)
We raced from the airport to a TV station to perform Junk Food LIVE on national greek TV. To be honest, we were rather unaware of the size of this show. The biggest TV station in Greece has a show called Radio Arvyla, which is kind of like The View but hipper, and with guys. At the end of the show, they have a guest performance, and on Thursday it was us! We’ll get the video posted to YouTube and up on here as soon as we can. It was great, and an experience to say the least. SNL, you’re next! We then sound checked, slept for an hour, ate some gyros, and rocked a great show. Thanks to Sefu, Alex, Popi, the Hoffs, and everyone else accept for the asshole who stole my wallet! Yeah. Pick-pocketed by a professional. Moments after the pic where we’re eating Gyros!! But a great concert and some delicious bougatsas made it all okay.
Next we were off to Athens to meet up with the Lab Magazine crew and had maaaaaybe one of the funnest nights of our lives. The show was packed to capacity, we had endless shots of Ouzo and other strange combinations of unknown liquors (even on stage), and the people were just amazing. The stage was low, so Oak and I stood on benches and rocked the shit out of it! We’ve got a lot of L fans in Greece! Big up to Manos and everyone else for everything. Pics coming soon!
After another couple of hours of sleep, we are back in Paris for meetings and interviews and some Parisian fun for the week, and maybe some sleep. Next show we are jumping on stage to rock it with Success on April 2nd, then La Roche Sur Yon on the 5th, and finally our Paris and Lyon shows! We’ll keep you updated!!
